Original NXT Takeover: War Games Plans

Dave Meltzer discussed the original plans for NXT Takeover: War Games on today’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio.

Meltzer indicated that the original plans for the NXT Championship match never even featured the new Champion, Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas.

According to Meltzer, the original idea was to have Adam Cole face Drew McIntyre but that was changed when the decision was made to bring back War Games.

The Los Angeles Rams have channeled WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes in an audible. Jared Goff can be heard in the clip below screaming out legendary names such as 2Pac as well as the WWE Legends.
