How WWE Will Handle John Cena Nikki Bella Breakup On Total Bellas

As we noted awhile back, it appeared likely that John Cena and Nikki Bella would have to reenact their breakup for the filming of the next season of Total Bellas, and Dave Meltzer confirmed that to be the case on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.

Meltzer noted that one of the main story lines of next seasons’s show was the build to John Cena and Nikki Bella’s wedding. It was noted that WWE did film Cena and Nikki breaking up at one point in the show, but the couple got back together days later. With the recent, official John Cena Nikki Bella breakup having taken place, the couple will have to reshoot the breakup and the season of Total Bellas will have to be reedited to reflect their breakup.

Brie Bella noted in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated that the next season of Total Bellas will feature very intimate moments with Cena and Nikki revealing very personal details about their lives.

“The one thing I have to say about John and Nicole, and all of us in the Bella family, is that we know what we signed up for,” said Bella. “This was Total Bellas 3 and we were going to see Nicole and John’s journey all the way to the altar. Obviously, there is going to be one episode missing because there is no wedding.”

“We all told ourselves we had to be an open book. If you’re going to do reality, you need to do the good and the bad. I think that’s why so many people love Nicole and me. We’re real and honest. There are some really intimate conversations between Nicole and John. I think my sister is just like, ‘Other women go through this,’ and she wants them to feel like they’re not alone.”
