Mike and Maria Kanellis Take Over WWE’s 205 Live Twitter

Mike and Maria Kanellis took over WWE’s Twitter account for 205 Live on June 13. The friendly takeover began at 1pm EST and over the course of the next several hours, the couple Tweeted one bit of nonsense after another.

That nonsense included Mike’s search for a better 205 Live General Manager. Kanellis isn’t too happy with Drake Maverick, who is the current GM, so the search was on. Mike’s first choice was Charles the unicorn, The New Day’s mascot. Charles was actually Maria wearing a unicorn head, which made the bit even funnier.

205 Live‘s power couple also opened up for questions. One of those questions was directed at Maria, who was asked what her first order of business would be as 205 Live General Manager.

Not in any order: 1. I would start working towards a 205 Takeover in the Hammerstein Ballroom. 2. I would have exhibition matches with guys from NXT. 3. I would send guys to major news outlets to talk about 205Live and how we are different.

The Twitter takeover is being done with a very lighthearted approach of course. Mike and Maria have proven that they’re far more entertaining together than separately and it could be that their brand of humor will elevate them on 205 Live. Longtime pro wrestling fans who have followed Mike’s work in particular over the years are surely hoping that he finally gets the opportunity he deserves, which may very well happen on 205 Live.
