Nick Aldis and Colt Cabana vs. The Briscoes Set for Ring of Honor ‘Best in the World’

NWA World Heavyweight champion Nick Aldis and NWA National champion Colt Cabana will face The Brisoces at Ring of Honor’s Best in the World event on Friday, June 28. NWA’s Twitter account announced the match on June 5.

This bout comes after the events of ROH’s War of the Worlds Tour in May. Cabana defended his National Championship against James Storm, which ended in a time limit draw. Colt was then attacked by Jay and Mark Briscoe, who are hellbent on getting revenge on the NWA.

That revenge is due to The Briscoes coming up short in their bid to win the Crockett Cup. This ultimately led to their ensuing war on the NWA. The brothers called out Aldis after they attacked Cabana and the NWA World champ answered the call. But he was outnumbered and left for dead in the middle of the ring.

Now both teams will face off at Best in the World, which also features Ring of Honor World champion Matt Taven defending against the undefeated Jeff Cobb.
