Kamille wins NWA Women's title at When Our Shadows Fall

Kamille is the new NWA Women’s champion.

She defeated Serena Deeb at the NWA’s When Our Shadows Fall event that took place this afternoon. In what turned out to be a back and forth contest, Kamille pinned Deeb following a spear to win the championship for the first time. This ends Deeb’s run with the title after holding it for 222 days, defeating Thunder Rosa at a UWN Primetime Live event back in October.

Deeb has defended the title multiple times on AEW television. Since returning from a knee injury, she’s retained the title against the likes of Red Velvet and Riho, with the latter title defense taking place at the AEW Double or Nothing buy-in pre show last weekend.

In the NWA, Thunder Rosa and Kamille have feuded over who would challenge Deeb next for the title. Kamille originally became the number one contender, but Rosa challenged her to a match where she would give up working for other companies if she lost again. That match ended in a draw, meaning Rosa could still wrestle in other places, but Kamille would still challenge for the title.
