Three matches announced for next week's WWE NXT

Three matches have been made official for next week’s episode of NXT.

Bronson Reed vs. Austin Theory will take place on NXT next Tuesday. if Reed wins, he’ll get a future shot at Johnny Gargano’s NXT North American Championship.

Mercedes Martinez vs. Dakota Kai and a six-man tag with Kushida & MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter) facing Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde) are the other two matches that have been announced for next Tuesday’s NXT.

Reed won the Gauntlet Eliminator match at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night one earlier this month and advanced to challenge for Gargano’s North American title on night two, but Gargano defeated him to retain. Reed confronted Gargano on NXT tonight and said he still has his eyes on Gargano’s title. Gargano told Reed to get to the back of the line, but Theory said he already talked to NXT general manager William Regal and Regal said the only way Reed will get another title shot is if he defeats Theory.

A promo by Martinez aired on tonight’s NXT. Martinez said she called NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez out last week but hasn’t heard anything from her. Martinez said Gonzalez had the chance to respond in an interview earlier on tonight’s show, but she only heard Dakota Kai speaking for Gonzalez. Kai had responded to Martinez’s challenge by saying she wouldn’t be getting a shot at Gonzalez’s title. Martinez called Gonzalez a lapdog and said that — despite Gonzalez being champion — she’s still in Kai’s shadow.

Martinez vowed to take out Kai next week so that nothing is standing in the way of her getting a shot at Gonzalez’s NXT Women’s Championship.

Kushida answered Escobar’s open challenge on NXT last week and defeated him to win the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. On tonight’s show, Kushida retained against Oney Lorcan after issuing his own open challenge. Legado Del Fantasma attacked Kushida after the match until NXT Tag Team Champions MSK made the save.

It was also stated on tonight’s NXT that Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell will be getting another shot at Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon’s NXT Women’s Tag Team titles. When that match will be taking place hasn’t been announced. Blackheart & Moon retained their titles against LeRae & Hartwell at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.
