Hogan & Friends Farewell Tour, Hennig's Son, Maxim Looks At Wrestling
partial source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
Hulk Hogan wants to do a farewell tour and he’s contacting some “name” wrestlers to be on the tour. The strategy plan is for them to avoid touring the U.S. because his match with Big Show in Memphis in April didn’t draw too well. Instead, they’ll concentrade on overseas markets and Canada. Furthermore, Eric Bischoff is quietly linked to the tour. His WWE contract will be expiring soon.
Maxim.com has posted up an article listing wrestlers currently alive in which they are surprised are still alive. Jake Roberts, Ultimate Warrior, Iron Sheik, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Jimmy Snuka, Road Warrior Animal, Terry Funk, Mick Foley and Ted DiBiase are profiled. You can read the article at this link.
The 7/13 WLW show in Waterlook, IA will mark the pro wrestling debut of Curt Hennig’s son, Joe Hennig. He will be paired with Ted DiBiase Jr. in a tag match. Joe inquired about a career in wrestling at the Hall of Fame ceremony back in April. Shane McMahon told him to go train under Harley Race. He only started training in May, so within two months, he’s already having a match.
