Dwayne Johnson's New Movie On Hold, Ric Flair's Daughter Pleads Guilty

— Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was set to begin work on the feature film adaptation of DC Comics’ Shazam! this August, but screenwriter John August posted a blog stating that the screenplay that was originally going to be used has been dismissed. According to August, Warner Bros. wanted a “darker” project after seeing the success of the recent Dark Knight Batman film. The Rock was going to play Black Adam, the film’s villain.

— North Carolina’s Durham Herald Sun reports that Ric Flair’s daughter Ashley Fleihr pleaded guilty to resisting an officer and being intoxicated and disruptive during a confrontation between her father and her boyfriend in September. The incident resulted in Ric Flair suffering a black eye, which was seen on various tabloid websites (including TMZ) and during Flair’s shoot interview for HighSpots. The guilty plea came as part of a plea bargain agreement that saw authorities dismiss a charge of assault on a law enforcement officer.
