Matt Hardy Insults The New Day, Big E. Fires Back At Him

TNA World Champion Matt Hardy and one-half of the WWE Tag-Team Champions, Big E., had an interesting exchange on social media on Wednesday morning.

Hardy and Big E. went back-and-forth on Twitter after a fan wrote to Hardy that he would like to see The Hardy Boys return to WWE to feud with The New Day.

Hardy responded to the fan by writing, “Are they the guys that wear strap-ons on their head? That’s not ICONIC,” which prompted a response from Big E.

“To each his own,” said Big E. in a response posted 20 minutes after Hardy’s initial tweet. “Twitter wrestling beef between people who work for different companies is childish. Be well.”

Hardy was quick to reply to Big E.’s response, pointing out that he wasn’t intending to start a “Twitter wrestling beef” with The New Day member, but instead was simply being a sports entertainer.

“No beef here,” wrote Hardy. “Just a sports entertainer like you guys. I hope your new day rocks.. until we lock it up in a ring one day.”

“This has been my most civil interaction on Twitter. Are we supposed to hug now,” questioned a sarcastic Big E. in another response posted on his official Twitter account.

Hardy concluded, “I suppose so. Your power of positivity is ICONIC!”
