Eric Bischoff Blasts "Dirtsheets" Over Reports of Problems With Bruce Prichard

— On his latest podcast with Conrad Thompson, Eric Bischoff addressed some rumors making the rounds suggesting that he has had a falling out with good friend Bruce Prichard over his release from WWE and Prichard’s subsequent promotion. Bischoff blasted dirtsheets, taking particular aim at Dave Meltzer of the WON, transcribed as best I could:

“Well first of all, I stayed away from social media as I know what kind of digital diarrhea that exists there at a time like this. This is the first I’m hearing that narrative is out there and if it is, it is a perfect example, if there’s anything out there that suggests that Bruce and I are anything other than the best of friends and that I’m fully supportive of him. I think it defines the b*llshit and the digital diarrhea that dirtsheets and the douchebags who write them live off of. Because nothing can be further than the truth. Bruce is the reason I got the opportunity in the first place and this is a decision that Vince McMahon made with whatever was going through his mind. And I’m 1000% sure that anything Bruce Prichard said had nothing to do with that.

Bruce is one of my closest friends and he’s going to remain one of my closest friends and anybody that suggests otherwise should look in the mirror and ask themselves why they feel they have to do what they do when they spread these kind of rumors and innuendo, I’m going to call it straight up dirtsheet b*llshit. Because if you feel the need to have to do that kind of thing and affect other people’s lives when there’s absolutely no basis and truth for it, you’re kind of a f*cked up individual.

Why I feel so strongly about the dirtsheets and we used to passively call it rumor and innuendo. That rumor and innuendo has an impact on people’s lives and in this case, the fact people are saying these things about Bruce doesn’t impact my life because it doesn’t change the way I feel about Bruce and Bruce is smart enough and seasoned enough, he’s probably not going to let it bother him. But it’s wrong, to make sh*t up like that is just wrong. All the people who think I’m wrong about beating up on Meltzer, why I feel so strongly about things we read online and it’s not just Dave Meltzer, he just comes up on our show a lot. If you read it online, 90% of the time it’s bullsh*t, it’s f*cking bullsh*t.”
