WWE is Reportedly Planning a Shield Reunion for TLC Pay-Per-View
One of the biggest teams in WWE history may finally be ready to reunite completely after several years apart. When Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns first arrived on the main WWE roster, they wreaked havoc and took complete control as part of a stable known as The Shield. They achieved great success until Seth Rollins unexpectedly turned on his brothers, thereby officially ending the stable. Since their disbandment, all three members of the group have gone on to win the WWE Championship, and Rollins and Reigns have both headlined Wrestlemania shows. It looks like the time for the group to walk down past the crowd again may be coming soon.
Glimpses of a Shield reunion have already been hinted at for months now. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose already managed to put aside their differences this past summer, and now they are the current Raw Tag Team Championships. In the meantime, Roman Reigns has been continuing his solo career. He defeated John Cena at last night’s No Mercy pay-per-view. He also may have retired The Undertaker at Wrestlemania earlier this year, and he is considered a lock to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans. Before that, the plan is apparently to finally pull the trigger on a long-awaited Shield reunion.

Pro Wrestling Sheet’s James McKenna has reported that Roman Reigns’ next big match will be taking place at the TLC pay-per-view, and he is going to have Ambrose and Rollins by his side. Roman Reigns is confirmed to be appearing on MizTV on Raw tonight, so it would make sense to see a Shield vs. Miztourage match set up for the pay-per-view. This is one of the matches that is rumored to be taking place as the main event of the show next month. This is apparently being done to boost ticket sales for TLC. As noted, the plan is still for Reigns to face Lesnar at Wrestlemania, so if a Shield reunion does happen soon, expect it to be brief.
