Augustana slotted 14th, three Vikings individually ranked
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana checked in at No. 14 in the latest release of the Basford National Division II Wrestling rankings. Three wrestlers also earned individual rankings in their respective weight classes.

With a 5-2 overall dual record, including a 1-0 mark in the tough Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, the Vikings collected 20 points in the poll which placed them at No. 14. In the latest NCAA Division II Rankings, the Vikings received votes, but remained just outside the top 20 of in the latest release.
Jayd Docken checks in as the highest individual for Augustana, holding the No. 5 ranking at 197 pounds. Docken , a junior from Winner, S.D., is 4-0 this season with a pair of pins. Docken earned All-America honors last season and is the fifth-rated wrestler in the NCAA rankings and second in the Super Region 3 list.
TJ North makes his first appearance in the rankings, taking hold of the No. 6 spot at the 125-pound class. North leads the team with a 15-3 record and six major decisions. He also just earned the top spot of the Super Region 3 and NSIC rankings at 125 pounds and debuted in the NCAA individual rankings.
One of two seniors on the roster, Sean Derry owns the No. 8 spot in the 184-pound class. Derry sports a 15-3 record with a team-high 64 takedowns and is also ranked in the NCAA individual rankings. Derry qualified for the NCAA Championships last season, but was forced to withdraw from injury.
Augustana returns to action on Sunday, Jan. 12 when they welcome Minot State for a 2 p.m. dual at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.
