WWE star King Barrett acknowledged a report that he has “nerve damage” in his neck, which is keeping him off WWE TV.
“Rehabbing a little nerve damage in my neck at the moment, hence the disappearing act. Nothing major, but not worth taking unnecessary risks,” Barrett tweeted Tuesday.
“Thanks for the concern. In the meantime I’ll be playing @WWEgames #WWE2K16 live on Twitch tomorrow. Very badly, unfortunately.”
Former TMZ producer Ryan Satin reported earlier on Tuesday that Barrett suffered a “bad stinger” a few weeks ago. He is expected to “be back soon.”
Barrett is part of the new League of Nations heel faction on WWE TV. With Sheamus and his group prominently featured on WWE TV the past few days, Barrett was conspicuous by his absence. WWE did not acknowledge Barrett’s whereabouts in storyline context.
