Designers back Red Nose Day 2015

Designers including Karl Lagerfeld, Henry Holland, and Diane von
Furstenberg have signed up to the Red Nose Day T-shirt campaign in
partnership with TK Maxx. The designers, which also include Anya Hindmarch
and Matthew Williamson, have designed seven charity T-shirts and a onesie
to raise money for Comic Relief to help vulnerable people across Africa and
in the UK.

Each limited edition design is completely unique to each designer with
a very special Red Nose Day twist featuring quirky quotes, such as ‘I only
know how to play one role: me’ from Karl Lagerfeld, ‘Don’t be a bore’ from
Diane von Furstenberg and ‘Do my feathers look big in this’ by Matthew
Williamson.

Commenting on taking part in the campaign, Von Furstenberg said: “I am
so proud to be a part of Comic Relief and the Red Nose Day campaign. It is
a privilege to use my voice to support this incredible organisation.”

Hindmarch added: “The tireless and very brilliant efforts of the team
at Comic Relief are incredibly inspiring. To be a part of the 2015 campaign
and support such a wonderful cause is an honour. And quite frankly, fun!”

The T-shirts made with 100 percent Fairtrade cotton sourced from
certified co-operatives in Senegal start at 5.99 pounds for a kids T-shirt
and 9.99 pounds for an adult T-shirt, with at least 2.50 pounds from the
kids tees and 5 pounds from the adult tees going to Comic Relief to help
people living incredibly tough lives across Africa and here in the UK.

The designer charity T-shirts are available from TK Maxx stores
nationwide and online at www.tkmaxx.com.

Red Nose Day 2015 takes place on March 13 and the theme this year is to
make your face funny for money. 60 percent of the money raised for Red Nose
Day is spent by Comic Relief on grant making in Africa and 40 percent on
grant making in the UK. To date, Red Nose Day has raised more than 700
million pounds.
