The two New York sides will clash in a huge derby game on Wednesday as they sit only one point apart from each other in the table
New York City FC and New York Red Bulls are set to lock horns in the Hudson river derby on Wednesday when they play in MLS.
NYCFC head into the fixture on the back of a 2-0 loss at Philadelphia, while the Red Bulls will be the more confident side after managing to nick a late point from the Vancouver Whitecaps in a 2-2 draw.
It will be the fist regular-season meeting between the two sides after the Red Bulls won 4-0 at home against their New York rivals in May, while NYCFC then answered with a 1-0 victory at Yankee Stadium in July.

The Red Bulls currently sit in second-place in the Eastern Conference, ahead of NYCFC by one point, albeit also having played a game more.
David Villa will be a boost for the home side after missing the clash against LA Galaxy due to injury. NYCFC squandered a pair of second-half goals in the loss to Philadelphia on Saturday, with Cory Burke and Ilsinho both scoring after half-time for the Union.
