Was This Week’s Impact Wrestling Viewership Able to Maintain Recent Increases?
Impact Wrestling has seen steady viewership increases early on in 2018, however, according to ShowBuzz Daily the trend stopped this week as the show averaged 276,000 viewers. This week’s number is down from the 309,000 viewers who watched the show last week.
Despite the lower viewership number, however Impact Wrestling this week ranked #136 on cable TV overall for the night, up from the previous week’s #140 ranking.

This week’s Impact was headlined by Eddie Edwards and Moose vs Bobby Lashley and KM. The show also featured an open challenge by EC3 and an address from Impact World Champion Eli Drake.
As we noted earlier this week, Impact is making several cosmetic changes to the show with the new Executive creative team of Don Callis and Scott D’Amore, and those changes include scrapping the six sided ring in favor of the four-sided ring. Additionally, Impact is now referring to the Global Title, recently won by Austin Aries, as the World Title, and the rules for Impact Grand Title matches have reverted back to traditional pro wrestling match rules.
The changes will not go into effect until this week’s taped shows air on TV, as this week’s Impact was taped back in Ottawa following Bound for Glory.
