Hometown Star to Challenge for Cruiserweight Title, Lio Rush vs. Noam Dar Next Week on 205 Live

Cedric Alexander retained his WWE Cruiserweight Championship on 205 Live and will move on to the next title defense at WWE Super Show Down. He will take on Buddy Murphy, a native of Melbourne, Australia where the special event will take place. The hometown advantage may or may not play a factor as recent hometown favorites have lost, including Sasha Banks in Boston in the first ever women’s Hell in a Cell match.

Will @WWE_Murphy leave his hometown of Melbourne with the @WWE #Cruiserweight Championship?

Lio Rush seems to have a new relationship with Bobby Lashley, assuming a managerial position as evidenced this week on Monday Night Raw.  The Man of the Hour tried to use his new role as an excuse not to compete, but Drake Maverick informed Rush he would be out of a job if he failed to honor his commitment to 205 Live.

#205Live GM @WWEMaverick isn’t playing games.

If @itsLioRush wants to continue to compete on @WWE205Live, he’ll need to fulfill ALL of his obligations. pic.twitter.com/B80CLC63QS
