Last night’s Homecoming edition of AEW Dynamite averaged 1.102 million viewers on TNT, down 0.5 percent from last week. Although it’s the second straight week Dynamite’s overall viewership has declined, it’s still the sixth-highest audience in the show’s history.

It’s the fourth straight week that Dynamite has been above one million viewers. Prior to that, the show had only topped that number on seven occasions since debuting in October 2019.

In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite drew a 0.46 rating, up 2.2 percent from last week. That ties the second best-number Dynamite has ever done in that category, trailing only the premiere episode, which drew a 0.68.

In terms of actual viewers in the 18-49 demo, Dynamite averaged 593,000 viewers, up from 582,000 last week. The closest wrestling comparison would now be WWE Raw, which averaged 657,000 viewers in the demo this Monday.

Year-over-year, Dynamite was up 22.3 percent in overall viewers and up 27.8 percent in the 18-49 demo. The show has had a 20 percent or greater year-over-year increase in five out of the last six weeks, which coincides with AEW’s return to live touring. This week saw a return to Jacksonville, where AEW ran since May 2020 up until the end of June this year.

As compared to the 10-week average, as shown in the chart below, Dynamite was up 11.6 percent in overall viewers and up 24.3 percent in the 18-49 demo. So, based on that information, the recent surge in audience numbers is driven by younger viewers.
