Bubba Ray Dudley Reveals He Was Close To Bringing Bully Ray To WWE

WWE Hall Of Famer, Bubba Ray Dudley recently revealed on social media how close he was to getting the Bully Ray character on WWE Television.

Bubba had reinvented himself during his time away from WWE in TNA as Bully Ray and many fans hoped to see that character at some point during his run with WWE when he and D-Von returned to the company and it did come closer than many thought.

Whilst it never actually materialized on Raw or SmackDown, Bubba did state that they came really close, just 48 hours away admitting that it was meant to happen the night that the Dudley Boyz left Raw, which would have obviously seen him stick around as the character.

As I’ve stated in the past, we came close…real close…48hrs away close.

It was suppose to happen on the night we said goodbye on Raw.

Oh well…their loss.

And I am having a blast destroying young boys @ringofhonor

However, it never took place and Bubba stated that is WWE’s loss. He now portrays the gimmick once again for Ring Of Honor, where he said he is having a blast and you can see Ray in action this Friday at Final Battle as he takes on Flip Gordon in an I Quit Match.
