Matt Hardy Reintroduces ‘Big Money Matt’ Character

The incomparable Matt Hardy made his return to WWE television last Tuesday night on Smackdown Live, surprising everyone by teaming with his brother for his first match since early August.

One of the more interesting (or bizarre, however you want to look at it) things about Hardy’s unexpected return is that he apparently has the ability to channel any of his previous “characters” on command. Depending on how/if WWE allows the veteran star to run with this idea, we could be looking at nearly three decades of Hardy excellence.

In a new video, remixing some of his older content, Hardy reintroduces his “Big Money Matt” character first popularized during his time with Impact Wrestling. He would go on to actually capture the TNA World Heavyweight Championship using the persona, which spun and slowly devolved into his famous (infamous?) Broken Matt gimmick over time.
