Jinder Mahal Undergoes Surgery for Ruptured Patella, Possibly Out 4-6 Months

Jinder Mahal posted the following on Instagram this afternoon:

“On the mend. Ruptured my Patella Tendon in Denver Colorado June 15 in a match against @aliwwe . Happy to say surgery went well, and my knee was better than expected. This comeback is going to be legendary.”

It was just reported earlier this week by Pro Wrestling Sheet that Mahal had signed a lengthy five-year contract with WWE, locking him down to the company for the long haul.

While treatment can always vary, and WWE Superstars have access to incredible surgeons and rehab teams, so they usually end up coming back sooner and stronger, the general recovery time following a patellar tendon tear is “3 months until the return of normal daily activities, and 4-6 months until sports should be resumed”, according to Very Well Health.
