WWE is now two weeks away from WrestleMania, and there is at least a semblance of a lineup of what will take place on what night.
The idea is for three-and-a-half to four hours shows on both 4/10 and 4/11 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. It will be the first WWE show with more than a few hundred fans in more than one year, and with the exception of 1/4 at the Tokyo Dome, the first pro wrestling shows of any kind with more than 10,000 fans in attendance.
Announced for the Saturday night show is a main event of Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE title, plus Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair for the Smackdown women’s title and The Miz vs. Bad Bunny.
The Sunday main event will be Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Edge for the Universal title (at this point it is announced as Reigns vs. Edge but that has been changed, and the change is expected to be announced after an angle on the 3/26 Smackdown show), Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley for the Raw women’s title and The Fiend vs. Randy Orton, likely in a stipulation match.

After Brian “Road Dogg” James’ wife Tracy James announced that her husband is in the hospital following an apparent heart attack, NXT’s Twitter account sent its best wishes to him: “Sending along best wishes to our guy @WWERoadDogg #WeAreNXT”
Daniel Bryan spoke to TalkSport about his behind-the-scenes role as part of WWE creative:“It’s interesting because, one, I don’t have that big of a say [laughs]. Sometimes something really great will happen on SmackDown and somebody will say ‘oh, that’s Daniel Bryan!’ Like, that’s not me! One part is our performers — we have incredible superstars. Cesaro is a no-brainer. When you say ‘Daniel Bryan helped Cesaro’ — no. All I did was ‘hey this guy is really good. We should put him on TV and use him!’ [laughs]. Apollo Crews, I don’t have anything to do with Apollo Crews stuff. He’s just great. But it is rewarding to see people that you know are talented get opportunities and knock it out of the park. There’s a certain joy to that. William Regal has been my mentor in wrestling for years and one of the things he has told me is that being a mentor to a handful of people has been more rewarding than the actual wrestling. He said don’t get me wrong, he loved the wrestling part and wishes he could still do it, but being a mentor is very fulfilling. So yeah, there is something to that, the idea of helping people and from a human perspective we all want that. For a long time, when you’re young you’re like ‘I want to achieve this, I want to achieve this!’ but as you get older it’s ‘I want to help here, I want to help here’ and it’s just a different perspective.”

During an interview with Dayton 24/7 Now’s Stuart Osborne, Seth Rollins was asked when we might see Becky Lynch back on WWE TV: “What is with… [laughs] Do you have a wife sir? [Osborne says he’s happily married] Would you betray your wife’s trust for a television interview? Come on now, I would never, I would never — it is not a smart thing to do, you’ve gotta go home to your wife, I’ve gotta go home to my wife. I would never – all respect in the world to you, appreciate the background — but there’s no way I’m gonna divulge Becky Lynch’s secrets. Come on. Come on! You’ve gotta be smarter than that.”
On Twitter, Paul Heyman teased that he participated in Rob Van Dam’s WWE Hall of Fame induction video.
Kevin Owens appeared on this week’s Talking Smack and discussed facing Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 37.

During a virtual signing for The Asylum Wrestling Store, Bret Hart discussed WWE’s leg slapping ban: “I heard a few days ago that they outlawed or banned or nobody’s allowed to do the slap stuff anymore, and I’m like totally — they should’ve stopped that ten years ago. It’s slap, slap, slap, slap, and my brother Owen was one of the guys that started a lot of that. He brought it to — he was one of the best at slapping his leg on spin kicks and stuff. But come on, enough is enough, in every match. You see guys do stuff and you’re going, ‘That wouldn’t even make a slap sound.’ When you punch somebody in the jaw, it’s not a slap sound. You know, it’s a different kind of sound and you’re making a slap sound for everything. Every single move you do is a slap sound, slap, slap and I totally agree. I’m glad they put their foot down on that but they’re like ten years late. They’ve already kind of in a lot of ways, sadly, ruined wrestling by making it so fake.”

At last night’s ROH 19th Anniversary PPV, Bill Carr made his debut as the newest member of Vincent Marseglia’s The Righteous stable. Carr, who was formerly known as Bobby Dutch in WWE developmental, is using the name “Dutch” in ROH. On the indies, Carr has teamed with Dan Barry as Team Tremendous.
Tony Khan told Pitchfork about licensing “Where Is My Mind?” by The Pixies for Orange Cassidy’s new entrance music: “A few weeks ago, I played it for him, he said he loved it. I asked if he wanted to me to try to license it, he gave me his ‘thumbs up.’ I signed a multi-year agreement to use the song, and every use of the song in AEW will live in our content library forever in perpetuity.”
AEW’s Griff Garrison announced that he and his girlfriend (Frannie Jones) are now engaged: “Wow. Words can’t describe how I truly feel right now. To be able to spend the rest of my life with someone I love is the greatest blessing that I could have ever received. I’m so excited for you to take my last name, I love you”
