WWE Extreme Rules 2012 Pre-Show Report

Here’s what went down a short time ago live on YouTube and Facebook.

United States Title: Santino Marella vs The Miz
Miz is unhappy to be on the pre-show after single-handedly giving John Laurinaitis his powerful position, when he won at WrestleMania. Miz reminds us he was in the Main Event of last year’s Extreme Rules, but states he will be the most talked about superstar tomorrow after making this the most viewed and talked about pre-show on YouTube. Miz rips on Chicago and launches into his awesome catchphrase when Santino interrupts.

Santino avoids a clothesline, pulls down the top rope on the Miz, then scares him away with a Cobra stance. Miz uses punches, kicks and kneelifts to get the advantage. Santino judo throws his way out of a chinlock. Miz re-asserts himself with a DDT, corner clothesline and double axehandle from the top rope. Santino ducks under a kick and gets two from a rollup, but Miz quickly clotheslines and slides outside to deliver a kneelift. Miz goes high risk once more, but leaps into a gut punch. Santino fires off punches, does a splits to duck under a clothesline and catches Miz with a hiptoss. A falling headbutt finds the mark and out comes the Cobra puppet. Miz kicks away the Cobra, but misses a corner charge and gets crotched. The Cobra strikes at the second attempt and Santino retains his title. 1-2-3. Winner: SANTINO MARELLA.

Backstage, Eve Torres instructs Teddy Long to spin the wheel and make the deal for the Intercontinental Title match between Cody Rhodes and Big Show. The result is a Tables match. Show laughs and wishes Cody luck in trying to put him through a table. Rhodes says it’s all Teddy’s fault and Eve walks off shaking her head in disapproval at the former SmackDown General Manager.

That about does it for the pre-show. Enjoy Extreme Rules.
