News on Smackdown Stars on Raw, WWE Wellness Policy, King of the Ring

– In regards to the WWE’s Wellness Policy, there is one statement that reads as follows: “This policy, as it may be amended from time to time, is applicable and binding upon all WWE talent under contract to WWE who regularly perform in-ring services as a professional sports entertainer.” Presumably, that one sentence is the loophole used to exclude Stephanie and Vince McMahon (they are not in-ring performers) as well as Triple H, Rock, Undertaker or Brock Lesnar (they are not regular performers).

– Until WWE begins running Monday house shows for the Smackdown brand, it is expected that the top guys on Smackdown will likely be working Raw. If they aren’t used on Raw, these talent will simply be sitting in their hotel room, not getting paid while waiting for their Tuesday show.

– WWE has applied for a trademark on “King of the Ring”, so the assumption is that they will be bringing that back in some form.
