Two Title Matches Announced For NXT U.K. TakeOver: Blackpool On 1/12

Two title matches are now official for the first-ever NXT U.K. TakeOver special.

As noted, WWE announced a NXT U.K. TakeOver: Blackpool WWE Network special for January at the NXT U.K. television tapings in Liverpool, England on Saturday night.

Also announced at the tapings were the first two title matches for the special. In the main event, Pete Dunne will defend the WWE U.K. Championship against Joe Coffey, while the NXT U.K. Women’s Championship will also be on the line when Mae Young Classic tournament winner Toni Storm challenges Rhea Ripley.

Additionally, the inaugural TakeOver special for the NXT U.K. brand will host the finals of the tournament to crown the first-ever NXT U.K. Tag-Team Champions. Tyler Bate and Trent Seven have already advanced to the finals.

NXT U.K. TakeOver: Blackpool goes down from the Empress Ballroom on Saturday, January 12, 2019, airing live via the WWE Network.
