AEW Dynamite video highlights: PAC returns
After travel issues had kept him away from AEW since March, PAC made his in-person return in the show-closing segment on last night’s Dynamite.
After Penta El Zero Miedo defeated his brother Rey Fenix in last night’s main event, Eddie Kingston made his way to the ring and told Penta that he did not need Fenix, calling him “dead weight.” PAC then entered and threatened Kingston, forcing referees to pull them apart.
Before the pandemic-related travel problems, PAC, Penta, and Fenix had formed a faction called Death Triangle. Kingston, Penta, Fenix, The Butcher, and The Blade had formed a faction in PAC’s absence, sometimes referred to as Kingston’s Family.
It was then announced that PAC will take on Blade on next week’s Dynamite.
Following his win against Chris Jericho at Full Gear, MJF was inducted into The Inner Circle last night. AEW continued to tease dissension between Sammy Guevara and MJF, as it was revealed that Guevara missed the induction after an email from MJF told him to go to the beach instead of meeting at Daily’s Place. An Inner Circle trip to Las Vegas was announced for next week.
Some long-running feuds were also resolved on last night’s show. Shawn Spears defeated Scorpio Sky after hitting him with a loaded glove, while The Natural Nightmares defeated Butcher & Blade in a Bunkhouse match.
The AEW debut of basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal was also teased on Dynamite. Jade Cargill, representing O’Neal and making her AEW debut, confronted Cody and Brandi Rhodes. She said that Shaq wasn’t afraid to go by one name, he’s a giant, and while Cody likes to fashion himself a giant killer, there’s nothing giant about Rhodes. A mixed tag match with Shaq & Cargill vs. Cody & Brandi seems to be a likely destination.
