Parnes to co-author book about 2020 race

The Hill’s Amie Parnes and Jonathan Allen are following up on their bestseller “Shattered” with a new book on the 2020 presidential election.

The new untitled book, to be published by Crown Publishing Group, will cover what appears to be a wide-open race for the Democratic nomination for president and President Trump’s own reelection bid.

The book gives firsthand accounts of Clinton’s campaign and suggests that infighting within the Democrat’s team and the lack of a message contributed to her shocking loss to Trump.

TriStar has optioned rights to film “Shattered” as a limited television series.

Parnes has covered the White House and presidential campaigns for The Hill since 2011.

She and Allen, a columnist at Roll Call and adjunct professor at Northwestern University, are also the co-authors of “HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton.”
