Original Plan Wrestlemania Plan for Lesnar, Kurt Angle Update
Original Wrestlemania Plans for Brock Lesnar
Dave Meltzer reported on this weeks edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that the original plan for Wrestlemania 33 was for Brock Lesnar to face Shane McMahon. This would explain the angle WWE ran at Summerslam, where Lesnar gave Shane the F5. Meltzer shot down the rumour that Braun Strowman was being considered as Lesnar’s opponent, citing that it was always Shane that was being eyeballed to be Lesnar’s opponent.
However, once Goldberg returned to the WWE,Vince decided to change the match for Wrestlemania and have Lesnar face off against Goldberg.
Update on Kurt Angle
On a recent Q&A session on his Facebook page, Kurt Angle mentioned that he may no longer be appearing on the indie scene following his third match with Cody Rhodes in March next year.
“I think I may be done wrestling at indies after Rhodes/Angle III in March”
A fan then asked whether Angle has any goals left to achieve in wrestling, with Angle responding that he has no more goals as he has achieved everything he wanted to in the business.
