SMSU’s Reinsma idles at No. 8 in NCAA at 133 pounds
EDMOND, Okla. – Southwest Minnesota State wrestler Justin Reinsma remained ranked No. 8 in the latest NCAA Division II National Wrestling Coaches Association poll. The announcement came from the association on Wednesday.
Justin Reinsma, a senior at 133 pounds, is ranked No. 8 with his 25-10 record. Reinsma won nine straight bouts to open the 2014 calendar year before falling 10-6 to No. 2 Andy Pokorny of St. Cloud State on Thursday. During the streak he became just the eighth Mustang in program history to record 100 wins in a career. Reinsma is a two-time All-America selection and was named All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference second team last season.
Reinsma has been ranked in all six polls this season.
Southwest Minnesota State University (11-5, 5-2 NSIC) will conclude the 2013-14 regular season on Feb. 22, versus the University of Mary.
