Cruiserweight Championship Tournament Update, 205 Tag Division

The quarterfinals of the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament continued last night on 205 Live as Drew Gulak defeated Mark Andrews and Mustafa Ali defeated Buddy Murphy to advance to the semi-finals. Next week’s quarterfinal matches are Roderick Strong vs. Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali vs. Drew Gulak. The winners of those two matches will face off in the finals at WrestleMania 34 with the winner capturing the vacant WWE Cruiserweight Title.
It was previously reported that the current plan is to introduce new WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles to the Cruiserweight Division some time after WrestleMania 34. It looks like one of the tag teams for the new Cruiserweight Tag Team Division will be Hideo Itami and Akira Tozawa. They teamed up last night on 205 Live and defeated enhancement talents Nemeth Alexander and Scott James. Another possible team for the Cruiserweight Tag Team Division is Kalisto and Gran Metalik as they have been teaming up lately.
