WWE NXT results: Bayley vs. Nia Jax
The Big News: Two months after being left beaten and broken by Nia Jax, Bayley got her revenge on the newly called-up Jax in the main event.
The Medium News: It was not a good night for draft picks, as American Alpha got destroyed and pinned by the Authors of Pain, who are still nameless as individuals after 42 days.
The Little Beaver Sized News: Tough Enough’s Patrick Clark debuted.
The draft has come and gone with the only thing negatively affected being the tag team division. While Finn Balor is a loss, the top of the card has so much remaining depth that the show will go on.

NXT Champion Samoa Joe defeated Rhyno
10 years ago next month these two were a part of a three-way dance at the infamous TNA Hard Justice pay-per-view (with Monty Brown), which is best remembered as the PPV where the building got set on fire.
This match barely went five minutes, most of which had Joe on offense, and Rhyno seemed completely gassed by the time he made his comeback. Joe won clean with a corner uranage and a Coquina Clutch.

Asuka cut a promo backstage saying she has no problem fighting Bayley, Nia Jax, or both.

The Authors of Pain defeated American Alpha
American Alpha was coming out for their match when they were attacked on the ramp by the Authors of Pain. They sent Jordan flying off the ramp and beat Gable down until kicking him off the ramp as well.
Paul Ellering, again, came out and nodded his approval at what happened, but this time the three of them went to the ring. After a commercial break, Ellering took the mic and seemed to be ready to speak, but Jordan and Gable shoved away medical personnel and charged the ring.
All four men had a giant brawl until the match officially began.
AOP did this cool looking double team maneuver where the tattooed one tossed Gable into the air and the non-tattooed one caught him in a bear hug. The tattooed one then ran off the ropes and they did a double sandwich on Gable.
Jordan got the hot tag and it never fails to look impressive when he suplexes these two large men all over the ring. Gable bull rushed the tattooed one and launched him across the ring with a t-bone suplex. The non-tattooed Author of Pain tried to pull his partner to safety, but Jordan flew over the top rope with a tope.
All four men ended up outside the ring, with Gable swinging into the LED board and Jordan sent crashing head first into the steps. AOP rolled Gable into the ring and picked up the shocking win with the combo side Russian leg sweep and clothesline.

The Revival bragged about beating American Alpha in their previous match and said the Authors of Pain need to send them a thank you letter for breaking Jordan and Gable. Dawson said no tag team can beat them, so in walked Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.
Gargano and Ciampa pointed out that they did beat The Revival and it was only a matter of time before they win the belts.

Hideo Itami finally returns from injury and will be back in the ring in two weeks. Something tells me we will never find out if Kevin Owens really did injure him before NXT Takeover: Unstoppable in May 2015.

Austin Aries defeated Patrick Clark
Patrick Clark was on the most annoying season of Tough Enough ever and I cannot wait to watch Austin Aries kick his butt. Aries took 99% of the match. Clark took a good beating, however his offense looked really poor. Aries won with the Last Chancery.
After the match, No Way Jose ran in and attacked Aries, stemming from last month when Aries attacked Jose after a match. This is easily the most serious Jose has ever looked, with Aries running away to save himself.

Bayley defeated Nia Jax
One of these two ladies got drafted last night, but it’s not the one loved by the entire audience.
Bayley got the win when these two faced off in London at NXT Takeover, but when they wrestled two months ago, Bayley got injured by the monster.
This match was more competitive than their one in May. Jax tried to throw Bayley through the ropes, but Bayley got caught in them, clotheslining her on the middle rope. Ironically, that mess up worked very well with the match.
At times it appeared Jax was offended that Bayley didn’t just lay down, but she kept picking herself up and fighting back. Bayley got small spurts of offense in between beatings. Jax tried to crush her with the running hip attack outside the ring, but Bayley moved and Jax crashed into the ring steps.
Back in the ring, Bayley got near falls with a flying crossbody and a victory roll. Jax then got one with a Jackhammer, which woke the crowd up when Bayley kicked out.
Jax went for the leg drop, but stopped herself and climbed to the middle rope, however Bayley jumped up and hit the Bayley-to-Belly from the middle rope for the win.
Bayley has avenged one huge loss, with her championship match against Asuka on the horizon. Until next week, remember to say your vitamins and take your prayers!
