Updated All Elite Wrestling Roster, R-Truth Supporting Swagger
As seen during the Double or Nothing rally which streamed live from
Jacksonville, Florida yesterday, All Elite Wrestling will be debuting
later on this year, and the promotion already has a ton of huge names
locked under contracts. AEW will be backed financially by the billionaire Khan family, who also own the Jacksonville Jaguars. AEW President Tony Khan noted that he is a true wrestling fan and will do all that he can to sign the best talent in the world and provided them with fantastic contracts. It will certainly be interesting to see who will end up in AEW or if anybody currently signed to any promotions will be departing in favor of helping to launch the incredibly ambitious new project.
During Tuesday’s rally, the first round of signees were revealed. The members of The Elite (specifically Cody
Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, and Brandi Rhodes) previously confirmed that they have signed with AEW for on-air talent and behind the scenes roles, but they certainly won’t be
doing there first show all by themselves. The following is a complete
and updated list of confirmed AEW roster members:
– Nick Jackson
– Matt Jackson
– Cody Rhodes
– Brandi Rhodes
– Hangman Page
– Chris Jericho
– PAC
– Joey Janela
– Penelope Ford
– Christopher Daniels
– Scorpio Sky
– Frankie Kazarian
– MJF
– Britt Baker
– Billy Gunn will also be working as a backstage producer for the promotion.
Expect more roster announcements for AEW to come out soon.
Ever since he was voluntarily released from WWE back in 2017, Jack Swagger has been working hard to establish a new identity for himself on the independent wrestling circuit. Swagger has also competed on Lucha Underground, and he’s even attempting to launch an MMA career for himself. Swagger will fight in the octagon for the first time ever on January 26th, but he will be accompanied by a close friend and current member of the WWE roster. Swagger announced in an interview that R-Truth will accompany him down the ramp and perform as he makes his grand MMA debut. Fans interested in seeing how this former World Heavyweight Champion does in MMA should check out Bellator 214 on January 26th.
Just had an awesome interview with Jake Hager (@RealJackSwagger) ahead of his #MMA debut Jan. 26 at #Bellator214. Jake told me WWE star R-Truth will be performing at the event and a number of WWE stars will be in attendance. Look for that interview on @FightfulOnline soon
