Former WWE NXT wrestler Solomon Crowe (Sami Callihan) wasted no time returning to the independent scene.
Callihan made a big splash at AAW’s “Windy City Classic” event Saturday night in Chicago, going after the new Hvt. champion and stunning the crowd.
Callihan’s appearance topped what would have been the biggest news of the event – Eddie Kingston re-capturing the AAW Hvt. Title. Kingston was scheduled to face incumbent champion Ethan Page and Trevor Lee in a three-way match for the title.
AAW noted on Twitter that Callihan returned to AAW and “immediately attacked the new champion, Eddie Kingston,” after the match.
PWTorch learned earlier in the week that Callihan asked for and was granted his release from WWE. Callihan, as Solomon Crowe, had been used sparingly on NXT TV this year.
