Update On SmackDown Women’s Championship Spoiler

A few weeks ago, I reported that many SmackDown Live brand  WWE Live events right after the Royal Rumble in early February and March had Becky Lynch listed as champion again advertised to wrestle Charlotte Flair for the title, but those ads have begun to change.
TV commercials for the local show coming to Peoria, IL, where I live have an advertised triple threat match now for the March 17th live event with Lynch and Flair taking on the champion Asuka for the title. Arenas for some of the other live events have also begun to change advertising as well, including the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, which hosts the first SmackDown brand WWE Live event after the Rumble on Feb. 2.
It now appears either those ads had not updated with the title change or that there was a plan initially with booking for the Royal Rumble, and now plans have changed.

It’s important to note that ads in arenas for these events don’t call for much title change at The Royal Rumble. Daniel Bryan and Rusev are still being advertised as champions after the pay-per-view show on January 27th in Phoenix. The ads on arena sites for the RAW brand WWE Live events seem to be written vaguely to not give away status of champions.
