AEW’s TV Deal Still Not Finalized, Coming Soon to WWE Network
New All Elite Wrestling signee, Jim Ross, recently stated in an interview that the promotion has secured a TV deal with a major cable network and will premiere in October. However, Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that no deal has been made official as of yet. Meltzer does say that the AEW’s weekly show will likely premiere in October just as the legendary announcer said, but they are still having talks with two different networks. The reason why these stations haven’t been named is because AEW is waiting for their deal to be signed first. Meltzer also says that the show will air live in prime time, have streaming options available, and an international TV deal is also being negotiated for the promotion.
As reported earlier today, WWE is working on a slew of new programs for the WWE Network over WrestleMania 35 weekend. It has already been confirmed that Table for 3 featuring Johnny Gargano, Ricochet, and Adam Cole will be premiering after Raw tomorrow night. The Mae Young Classic is also reportedly set to return later this year, and there will be new WWE 24 documentaries based on Batista and Becky Lynch premiering soon. However, those are far from the only shows that the company will rolling out over the next few months. WWE Network News received some information on multiple shows and specials that will be coming out before the year is over, and they consist of the following:
World Collide tournament – The tournament that is ongoing between NXT alum and future WWE stars premieres on April 14th at 8pm ET.
WWE Chronicle – A follow-up to the recent special on Roman Reigns. This one will focus on Reigns’ first match back after recovering from leukemia. It premieres on April 14th at 9pm.
Table for 3 – Confirmed by Mandy Rose on Instagram is a new episode featuring herself, Carmella, and recent Hall of Fame inductee Torrie Wilson. No premiere date yet though.
