Three Big Matches Set for Extreme Rules, Young’s Ambrose Tribute

WWE will be holding a series of pay-per-views over the next few months, such as Money in the Bank and the upcoming event in Saudi Arabia, but one of other show that the company will present soon is the Extreme Rules event. This is an annual show that typically see WWE talents compete in matches with weapons such as chairs, ladders, tables, and the main event match is usually contested in the titular Extreme Rules stipulation. The event is set to feature both Raw and SmackDown competitors, and it will be going down in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the Wells Fargo Center. Although the event is not taking place until July of this year, it appears that three of the top matches may already be set for this year’s show. 
Three matches for the Extreme Rules event this year appear to be rumored for the event. According to a report from NoDQ.com, Seth Rollins will defend the Universal Championship against Baron Corbin during the show. Also, AJ Styles will be competing against Drew McIntyre while Roman Reigns will take on WWE veteran Randy Orton. Styles was moved to Raw last week as part of the Superstar Shakeup, and Reigns was shifted over to SmackDown during the Shakeup as well. Plans could change between now and July, but fans should probably expect to see these three feuds begin on television within the next few weeks or so. Be on the lookout for these matches to take place during WWE’s July pay-per-view.
Dean Ambrose is currently wrapping up his run with WWE as he has decided not to sign a new contract with the company. His WWE deal is said to expire at the end of April, and he competed in his last match with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins during a WWE live event yesterday. Of course, Ambrose is not only no longer working with his Shield brothers, but his wife, Raw announcer Renee Young, is staying with the company as well. During last night’s live event, fans may have noticed Young paying tribute to her husband through her jacket.
