Hours after an Uttar Pradesh Minister courted controversy saying “BJP leaders are blessing Dalits by going to their homes,” Union Minister Uma Bharti has contradicted him.
UP Cabinet Rajendra Pratap Singh had on Tuesday said, “The way Lord Ram blessed Shabari by eating her berries, BJP leaders too are blessing Dalits by going to their homes.”
He made the comment ahead of his visit to a Dalit household in Jhansi district as part of CM Yogi Adityanath’s outreach program where he was also to have food at the dalit residence.
